Division of Restorative and Prosthetic Dentistry

The Division of Restorative and Prosthetic Dentistry is composed of several disciplines, including Operative Dentistry, Dental Anatomy, Occlusion, Fixed Prosthodontics, Removable Prosthodontics, Implant Dentistry, Digital Dentistry, and Dental Materials Science. 

It also includes the Advanced Prosthodontics Residency Program and the General Practice Residency Program, as well as a significant community outreach program called the OHIO Project.

Division faculty present didactic, clinical, and preclinical laboratory information to the predoctoral dental students who apply this knowledge and clinical skills to treat patients in the Ohio State Dental Clinics and remote treatment centers. Graduates complete the program well prepared for their future careers with comprehensive clinical experience and having accomplished a wide range of contemporary clinical treatments in Operative Dentistry, General Practice Dentistry and other treatments involving the range of dental materials available to the clinician.

Division goals are to ensure that students continuously receive a timely and innovative curriculum, while faculty are conducting cutting-edge research. Alumni have graduated well prepared for their future careers with excellent clinical experience. They have accomplished a wide range of contemporary clinical treatments in all aspects of Restorative and Prosthetic Dentistry.
