Service

The faculty and residents of the Division of Periodontology are involved in a wide variety of academic, professional and scientific organizations. Furthermore, periodontal faculty represent the College of Dentistry, the University, the American Academy of Periodontology and organized dentistry as members and leaders on numerous committees.

In the community, the Division of Periodontology is committed to supporting the OPTIONS Program. The Dental OPTIONS program is an affiliation between the Ohio Department of Health and the Ohio Dental Association and involves dentists who volunteer their time and money to improve the oral health of Ohioans who may not have access to oral health resources. This program links the Division of Periodontology to qualified people in need of periodontal treatment.
