The graduate program in Oral Biology is an
interdisciplinary program dedicated to preparing
outstanding clinical and basic science researchers
for careers in research and teaching. The Oral
Biology Graduate Program consists of 30 faculty from
three different colleges (Dentistry, Medicine, and
Veterinary Medicine) as well as from the James
Cancer Hospital and Research Institute. All members
of the graduate faculty are active scholars and
experienced mentors, providing students with
valuable experiences in their areas of expertise.
The program has been highly successful and has
produced a number of students who have competed
successfully for both research and professional
awards at local, national, and international levels.
Please
refer to descriptions of faculty research interests
and research areas to learn more about the work that
is occurring in the program. Faculty research spans
from diverse experimental systems to study following
major specialties. Not all laboratories have open
positions available for a new graduate student in a
given year.
